How to judge the fault of the hydrog​enation station compressor?

How to judge the fault of the hydrogenation station compressor?

When the compressor of the hydrogenation station fails, it can be judged from the following aspects:

  一、The running sound is abnormal

  During normal operation, the sound of the hydrogenation station compressor is stable and regular. Strring, friction, impact, or other abnormal noise may indicate problems with the internal components. For example, the piston and cylinder wall wear seriously, will produce percussion sound; bearing damage may produce sharp friction sound.

  二、 Pressure anomaly

  Pressure fluctuation: the compressor outlet pressure fluctuates irregularly, which may be due to gas leakage due to poor intake system, valve failure or lax internal sealing of the compressor. For example, the blockage of the intake filter will make the intake volume unstable, resulting in pressure fluctuations.

  Insufficient pressure: if the output pressure of the compressor does not reach the specified value, it may be that the piston ring of the compressor is worn, causing gas leakage and reducing the compression efficiency; or the drive motor has insufficient power to provide sufficient compression power.

  High pressure: When the outlet pressure of the compressor exceeds the normal range, the exhaust pipe is blocked and the gas cannot be discharged smoothly, resulting in the pressure rise; the pressure control system may fail, and the pressure cannot be adjusted effectively adjusted.

  三、 Temperature anomaly

  The fuselage temperature is too high: during the operation of the compressor, the fuselage temperature is too high, which may be due to the cooling system failure, such as cooling water pipeline blockage, insufficient coolant or cooling fan failure, resulting in poor heat dissipation. In addition, the internal parts of the compressor friction is too large, will also produce too much heat, so that the fuselage temperature rise.

  High exhaust temperature: Too high exhaust temperature may be due to too high compression ratio, too high inlet temperature or poor internal cooling effect of the compressor. For example, in the summer high temperature environment, if the intake cooler effect is not good, the inlet temperature will be too high, thus leading to the rise of the exhaust temperature.

  四、Vibration anomaly

  Minor vibration is normal when the compressor runs, but if severe vibration occurs, the compressor foundation is not firmly installed, the anchor bolt is loose, or the compressor rotor imbalance, impeller damage, etc. Severe vibration will not only affect the normal operation of the compressor, but also may cause further damage to the equipment, and even cause safety accidents.

  五、Leakage problem

  Gas leakage: Check the connection parts, valves and seals of the compressor for gas leakage. It can be detected by applying soapy water and other methods, if there is a bubble, it means that there is a leakage point. Gas leakage will not only lead to the efficiency of the compressor, but also may cause hydrogen leakage, there are safety risks.

  Lubricating oil leakage: observe whether there is lubricating oil leakage in the oil pan, oil seal, oil tubing and other parts of the compressor. Lube oil leakage will lead to insufficient lubrication of the compressor, aggravate the wear of parts, and may damage the compressor due to lack of oil.

  六、Performance decline

  Insufficient flow: the actual flow of the compressor in the hydrogenation station is lower than the design flow, which may be due to insufficient opening of the intake valve, increased pipeline resistance or wear of the internal parts of the compressor, which affects the gas inhalation and compression process. For example, an intake valve failure that cannot fully open will limit the flow of gas into the compressor.

  Reduced compression efficiency: under the same input power, the exhaust pressure and flow of the compressor cannot reach the expected value, or in order to achieve the same pressure and flow, more energy is consumed. This may be due to the valve damage of the compressor valve, lax sealing of the piston ring or scale of the impeller, resulting in gas leakage or increased energy loss during compression.

  七、Control system failure

  The control system of the compressor displays various operating parameters and fault alarm information. If the control system fails, if the sensor fails, the displayed parameters will be inaccurate or abnormal; the controller failure may make the compressor unable to operate according to the set program, causing misoperation or failure to start or stop. In addition, the failure of the electrical system, such as line short circuit, open circuit, will also affect the normal operation of the compressor.

  The above are some common methods to judge the compressor failure of the hydrogenation station. In actual operation, the operator needs to have rich experience and professional knowledge, and comprehensively use a variety of methods to judge and analyze, so as to find out the cause of the failure in time and accurately and carry out maintenance.
